The Gift of 10,080

Finding Purpose in Just Ten Minutes

Happy Motivational Monday, y’all!

I was recently reflecting on how I spend my days. The usual suspects came to mind: time with God, family, work, and running around with the kids. I often catch myself saying, “Man, today flew by.”

Routines are a blessing — they help us function, create rhythm, and even give us a sense of accomplishment. But sometimes routines put us on autopilot. What if we switched it up just a bit?

There are 10,080 minutes in a week.

And that number hit me differently this time.

What if we challenged ourselves to intentionally use just 10 of those minutes each day?

Five minutes to fuel up — pray, meditate, breathe, express gratitude.

Five minutes to pour out — send the text, pray for someone, encourage a friend, let someone know you see them.

That’s it.

10 minutes.

Which still leaves you with 10,070 minutes for everything else.

I’m a task‑oriented person, and that has its place. But today I’m reminded that God didn’t call me to simply complete tasks — He called me to be salt in the earth. He fills my cup not to create a reservoir, but to create an overflow that pours into others.

Hebrews 13:16 (CSB)

“Don’t neglect to do what is good and to share, for God is pleased with such sacrifices.”

This Week’s Challenge

From today through next Sunday, carve out your 10 intentional minutes each day.

Fuel up. Pour out. Repeat.

Let’s be intentional with the time God has already given.

Prayer

God, thank You for the gift of time. Every minute You give me is a reminder of Your grace and Your intentionality toward me. Help me to steward this gift well — not rushing through my days, but using my time in ways that bless others and bring You glory. Today I surrender my task list, my pace, and my plans. Teach me to slow down, to be present, and to be intentional with the moments You place in front of me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
