Creative Time Management
Motivational Monday
Creative Time Management
By Autumn R Finklea
For many of us, Monday marks the start of the work week. And if you’re thinking, “Whew… that weekend flew by,” you’re not alone. Time waits for no one.
As I step into this week, I’m already aware of the full list in front of me — my primary ministry of family, home, school drop‑offs and pick‑ups, work, cooking, and building a business. It’s easy to look at all of that and conclude, “I don’t have enough time to (fill in the blank).”
And if we’re honest, sometimes that blank gets filled with:
I don’t have time to read the Word.
I don’t have time to pray.
If that’s where you are, no shade at all. But here’s one thing we do well as women: we get creative.
One of my favorite devotionals is From My Heart to Yours—written by me, a daughter of the King, a wife, and a mother. And one thing I’ve learned over the years is this: God meets us in the margins just as powerfully as He meets us in the quiet hours.
So as you prepare for your day, pack yourself a little care package:
- Water to hydrate
- A snack to fuel your body
- A Bible or devotional to fuel your spirit
Even small moments count. Even quick pauses matter.
Ephesians 5:15–16 (CSB)
“Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk—not as unwise people but as wise—making the most of the time, because the days are evil.”
